🦴 Cobblemon Fossils: Revive Fossil Pokémon & Dig Sites

Revive prehistoric Pokémon and find every fossil dig site in Cobblemon.

To bring a fossil Pokémon back to life you build a three-block Restoration Machine, insert a fossil, feed it organic material, and wait. Below are the machine recipes, every fossil-to-Pokémon mapping, and the materials the tank accepts.

How to find fossils

Fossils are buried in Suspicious Sand and Suspicious Gravel inside the prehistoric dig sites listed under the Dig Sites tab. Equip a Brush and hold right-click on a suspicious block to slowly reveal what's inside — every dig site guarantees at least one specific fossil, along with common crafting materials.

Feathers drop from chickens and parrots, while copper and sticks are easy early-game materials.

Building the Restoration Machine

Craft all three parts, then place them together to assemble the machine.

How revival works

  1. 1Place a valid fossil (or a Galar fossil pair) into the Fossil Analyzer.
  2. 2Feed organic material into the Restoration Tank until it reaches 128 points. Right-click with any accepted material to add it.
  3. 3Wait about 12 minutes — the Pokémon forms over 8 visible stages.
  4. 4When it's ready, right-click the tank with a Poké Ball to claim your revived Pokémon.
  5. 5A revived Pokémon stays protected in the tank for 5 minutes before it despawns, so collect it promptly.

Accepted organic materials

Each material is worth a number of points. Fill the tank to 128 points to start a revival. Higher-value items fill it faster.

Frequently asked questions

How do you revive fossil Pokémon in Cobblemon?

Build a Restoration Machine from a Fossil Analyzer, Restoration Tank, and Monitor. Insert a fossil (or a Galar fossil pair) into the analyzer, feed the tank 128 points of organic material, wait about 12 minutes, then right-click the tank with a Poké Ball to claim your Pokémon.

How do you get fossils in Cobblemon?

Fossils are dug out of Suspicious Sand and Suspicious Gravel at prehistoric dig sites found across the world. Craft a Brush from a Stick, a Copper Ingot, and a Feather, then brush the suspicious blocks — each dig site guarantees one specific fossil.

What is the fastest way to fill the Restoration Tank?

The tank needs 128 organic points to start. High-value items fill it fastest — a Max Revive is worth 64 points, so two complete the requirement. Otherwise use stacks of seeds, berries, or cooked food.

What are the Galar fossils and how do they work?

Galar fossils are made by combining two fossilized parts — Fossilized Bird, Fish, Drake, or Dino. Pairing them creates Dracozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish, or Arctovish depending on the combination.

How long does it take to revive a fossil?

Once the tank holds 128 organic points, revival takes about 12 minutes and progresses through 8 visible stages. The finished Pokémon stays protected in the tank for 5 minutes, so claim it promptly with a Poké Ball.

Where do fossil dig sites spawn in Cobblemon?

There are 23 prehistoric dig sites spread across many biomes — deserts and beaches, oceans, dripstone and lush caves, jungles, badlands, snowy areas, swamps, and forests. Each structure is tied to a specific fossil.
